Contribution to the Cajal Legacy: Juanjo Rubio represents the natural evolution of Cajalian thinking in the 21st century: from observing life to “writing” it. From his global position at Alkalma (Abu Dhabi), he leads the revolution in precision medicine and population health through the ethical use of Artificial Intelligence and Synthetic Biology. His commitment to the SynBio ecosystem and the Genome Project Write places him at the absolute frontier of knowledge, yet always anchored in the humanistic values and “compassionate care” that characterized the Spanish school. He is also an active “gardener” of the Cajal Network, connecting the historical legacy with the disruptive future.
Lecture Topics:
-
Synthetic Biology: Writing the future of medicine (from genome to cure).
-
AI and Human Values: Technology for a more compassionate population health.
-
Cajal Network and Ecosystems: How to transform science into real value for society.
